Description

Pulse Generator MR8791 Control Simulation Testing Module

The Pulse Generator MR8791 is a dedicated control simulation module designed to support advanced testing of electronic control systems when used with compatible Hioki Memory HiCorders. It enables engineers and technicians to simulate realistic control signals required for validating control boards used in automotive and industrial equipment.

This module supports output of pulse waves and logic pattern signals across eight channels. Engineers can generate precise TTL level signals or open-collector outputs to match the input requirements of a wide range of control circuits. With its flexible signal generation capabilities, the Pulse Generator MR8791 is well suited for testing systems such as engine control units, airbag modules, brake controllers, and power steering electronics.

The Pulse Generator MR8791 offers two output modes to support diverse testing scenarios. Pattern output mode allows generation of up to 2048 logic patterns at frequencies ranging from 10 Hz to 120 kHz. Pulse output mode supports frequencies from 0.1 Hz to 20 kHz with adjustable duty cycles from 0.1 percent to 99.9 percent. These capabilities allow engineers to reproduce complex control sequences and timing conditions with high accuracy.

For direct logic signal simulation, the logic output mode provides voltage levels from 0 V to 5 V, ensuring compatibility with standard digital inputs. The open-collector output mode supports higher voltage applications with built-in overcurrent protection, enabling safe testing of control circuits under various load conditions.

Safety and reliability are key design considerations of the Pulse Generator MR8791. The unit features isolation between the module and output channels, protecting the connected Memory HiCorder during testing. A built-in self-test function helps verify correct operation before use, reducing setup time and minimizing testing errors.

Compact and lightweight, the Pulse Generator MR8791 integrates easily into laboratory environments and portable test setups. While it must be used with specific Hioki Memory HiCorder models and is not compatible with certain recorders, it provides a powerful and efficient solution for control simulation testing when paired with supported systems.
