Description
CT-150 Current Transducer with 0-FLUCS Fluxgate Technology
The CT-150 Current Transducer provides highly accurate monitoring of both DC and AC currents in demanding electrical systems. Built using advanced 0-FLUCS closed loop fluxgate technology, the device delivers outstanding measurement precision, extremely low noise levels, and excellent signal stability.
The closed loop design continuously compensates for magnetic flux within the sensing core. This architecture ensures the CT-150 Current Transducer maintains excellent linearity across the full measurement range while minimizing drift and measurement errors caused by temperature changes or environmental conditions.
The device supports a maximum bipolar primary current of ±150 A and uses a transformation ratio of 1:1500. This conversion ratio allows the sensor to transform high primary currents into precise secondary signals that can be accurately measured and processed by electronic monitoring equipment.
Galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits improves safety and measurement reliability. This feature allows engineers to measure current in circuits operating at different electrical potentials while maintaining signal integrity and protecting connected equipment.
Flexible Output and Installation Options
The CT-150 Current Transducer is available in two output configurations to support different measurement systems and electronic interfaces. The current output version delivers a precise secondary current signal that is suitable for high accuracy monitoring and control systems.
The voltage output version includes a built in low temperature coefficient shunt resistor and a low noise amplifier. This configuration converts the measured current into a stable voltage signal that can easily be connected to data acquisition systems, test equipment, and industrial monitoring platforms.
Flexible connection options further simplify integration. The C version uses a DB-9 connector that provides a convenient external interface for laboratory equipment and industrial systems. The P version uses a seven pin through hole interface that allows direct mounting onto printed circuit boards for embedded applications.
Each CT-150 Current Transducer includes a LED indicator that confirms proper operation. This visual status indicator helps engineers quickly verify device performance during installation and system operation.
Current Transducer for Testing and Power Electronics Applications
The CT-150 Current Transducer is widely used in applications where precise current measurement is essential for system performance and safety. Typical applications include electric vehicle battery testing and characterization, calibration laboratories, industrial test stands, and precise AC mains monitoring systems.
The device is also highly suitable for extremely stable regulated power supplies and power inverter systems. In these applications, accurate current feedback is required to maintain system efficiency and reliability.
Compared with traditional Hall effect sensors, the CT-150 Current Transducer provides superior measurement accuracy, improved linearity, and significantly lower noise levels. These advantages make it an ideal choice for engineers working in advanced testing environments and high performance power electronics systems.
For optimal performance, the CT-150 Current Transducer can be paired with the PS1215 low noise AC DC power supply. This dedicated power supply ensures stable operating conditions and helps maintain the precision characteristics of the sensor.
The CT-150 Current Transducer can also be integrated into the CT-BOX-150 system, which provides a complete solution for monitoring bipolar currents up to 150 A. This integrated approach simplifies installation and allows engineers to implement reliable current measurement systems with minimal setup effort.
