Safety is integral to the 3180 design. A mechanical switch and safety latch ensure that high-voltage outputs are only enabled intentionally. In emergencies, the protective latch instantly disables high-voltage power, while a front-panel red indicator provides a clear visual warning whenever high voltage is active.
