Description

Hioki CT7742 Current Sensor for Reliable AC/DC Recording

The Hioki CT7742 AC/DC Auto-Zero Current Sensor delivers precision measurement for currents up to 2000 A in both AC and DC applications. Its unique auto-zero technology minimizes drift caused by temperature fluctuations, enabling long-term recording without repeated adjustments. This makes the CT7742 ideal for continuous monitoring in industrial plants, power distribution systems, or any environment where stable measurements are critical.

Detachable Display Unit for Field Flexibility

Paired with the CM7290 or CM7291 detachable Display Unit, the CT7742 allows users to measure currents on-site without relying on stationary equipment. The Display Unit provides real-time readings, data logging, and multiple output options, including waveform, RMS, peak, and frequency signals. Bluetooth-enabled connectivity with the CM7291 further allows wireless transfer to smartphones or tablets via the GENNECT Cross app for instant data review and analysis.

Wide Temperature Range and Auto-Zero Stability

Operating between -25°C to 65°C, the CT7742 is suitable for extreme environments. Conventional DC sensors experience zero-point shifts under temperature variation, requiring repeated manual adjustment. The CT7742 incorporates a switching-based offset cancellation circuit that automatically stabilizes the zero point, ensuring highly accurate readings during long-term measurements without user intervention.

Applications

This sensor is perfect for monitoring industrial AC/DC currents, site inspections, laboratory testing, and integration with data loggers or Memory HiCorders. Its combination of high current capability, auto-zero technology, and flexible output options ensures precise measurements in diverse applications.
