LSX2092R Dual Microwave

The LSX2092R Dual Microwave Signal Generator is a high-performance 20GHz, dual-channel source that sets a new standard in RF and microwave testing. Part of the Lucid-X family, it combines ultra-low phase noise, ultra-fast frequency switching, and versatile analog modulation in a compact, 19″ 1U rack module. The LSX2092R is designed for the most demanding applications, including radar systems, electronic warfare, secure communication, high-speed automated testing, and multi-channel RF research environments.

LSX2092R Dual Microwave Signal Integrity

The LSX2092R ensures exceptional spectral purity with phase noise of -133 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz (10 kHz offset), harmonics at -50 dBc, and non-harmonics at -90 dBc. Coherent dual-channel frequency switching guarantees precise phase alignment across channels, making it ideal for intermodulation distortion measurements, high-performance DAC/ADC clocking, and complex RF simulations.

Fast Frequency Switching

The generator’s <10 µs frequency switching minimizes dead time in automated tests, significantly improving throughput and efficiency. This capability is crucial for simulating real-world environments such as frequency-hopping radars, electronic warfare scenarios, and secure communication protocols, where rapid, accurate frequency changes are required.

Modulation Capabilities

Equipped with AM, FM, PM, Sweep, and Pulse modulation, the LSX2092R offers FM deviations up to 10 MHz (rates up to 1 MHz), AM linear depth up to 90% (rates up to 100 kHz), and PM peak deviation up to 360°. Pulse modulation provides fast rise/fall times (<15 ns) and a high on/off ratio (~70 dB). Optional packages extend modulation and power ranges, making this generator adaptable for specialized analog and RF simulation needs.

Control and Programming

The LSX2092R supports SCPI and VISA commands over LAN, USB, or SPI, and integrates with Python, MATLAB, C#/C++, or LabVIEW.
