Description
NGPS Power Supply for Precision Current and Voltage Control
The NGPS Power Supply is a new generation digital power supply designed to deliver extremely stable and efficient electrical output in high performance environments. Developed using advanced power electronics technology, this system combines precision control, intelligent monitoring and flexible connectivity to meet the needs of modern laboratories and industrial facilities.
Each NGPS Power Supply unit delivers up to 10 kW of output power while maintaining outstanding current and voltage regulation. The system is engineered with temperature stabilized internal sections that minimize the influence of ambient temperature variations. As a result, the unit achieves a very low temperature coefficient below 0.0002 percent per degree Celsius. This level of stability makes the power supply ideal for precision systems such as particle physics experiments and medical accelerator magnets.
Advanced Digital Architecture
The NGPS Power Supply uses a powerful control architecture that integrates FPGA, DSP and ARM processing technologies. This advanced design allows both current and voltage control loops to operate with excellent dynamic response across a wide variety of load conditions.
The architecture eliminates the need for separate precision DAC boards and power amplifiers. By reducing the number of internal components, the system improves reliability while also lowering electrical noise and increasing overall performance.
The unit also includes remote sensing terminals that ensure accurate voltage regulation at the load. This feature compensates for voltage drops across connection cables when operating in constant voltage mode, guaranteeing that the desired voltage level is delivered precisely to the connected device.
Power Supply with Embedded Monitoring and Parallel Capability
The NGPS Power Supply integrates a powerful monitoring environment through its embedded Linux operating system and built in web server. Engineers can configure and control the system through standard network interfaces using Gigabit Ethernet communication with TCP IP or UDP protocols.
A high speed SFP interface provides update rates up to 100 kHz and also allows multiple units to communicate for parallel operation. Up to four identical NGPS Power Supply modules can be connected together to reach system power levels of up to 40 kW while maintaining excellent stability and active current balancing.
The power supply also includes waveform generation capability that allows users to preload custom current or voltage profiles. This feature is especially useful for applications that require controlled ramping sequences or synchronized power events.
Additional features include a built in four channel oscilloscope for monitoring system signals, trigger input capability for synchronization with external equipment and an analog control input for compatibility with existing control systems.
With its combination of high power capability, advanced digital control and scalable architecture, the NGPS Power Supply provides a reliable platform for demanding power applications in research and industrial environments.
