Description
Performance and Signal Generation
The Tabor P1282M AWG delivers high quality waveform generation in a compact and flexible platform. With a sampling rate of 1.25GS/s and a 16-bit vertical resolution, the instrument produces highly accurate signals suitable for demanding laboratory applications. Its two independent channels and four programmable markers allow engineers to generate synchronized signals and perform advanced signal timing experiments.
The system belongs to the Proteus family of advanced waveform generators. These instruments combine waveform generation, signal analysis capability, and responsive processing within a single architecture. As a result, engineers can simulate complex signal environments, perform RF testing, and conduct quantum research with exceptional precision.
Modular and Scalable Architecture
The P1282M AWG is designed with a modular architecture based on the PXI Express platform. This design allows engineers to scale their testing systems from a small two channel configuration to large multi channel setups that maintain phase coherence. Such flexibility is valuable in research laboratories and engineering environments where requirements grow over time.
The compact design also reduces rack space while delivering professional level waveform generation performance. Multiple modules can be synchronized easily, making the system suitable for applications such as Electronic Warfare testing, massive MIMO research, and large scale qubit control.
Real Time Feedback Capability
A defining feature of the P1282M AWG is its real time feedback control system. By integrating waveform generation and signal capture within a single FPGA controlled platform, the system can measure incoming signals and instantly adjust the generated waveform.
This approach removes the latency caused by external computer processing. The result is a responsive system capable of conditional waveform generation, which is critical for closed loop Electronic Warfare systems, radar target generation, and adaptive RF testing.
Intelligent Waveform Sequencing
The P1282M AWG also includes an advanced task table sequencing engine that enables dynamic waveform control. Instead of running simple sequential waveforms, the system can switch between waveform segments based on triggers or measured signals.
In radar testing environments, this capability allows the instrument to operate as a radar target simulator that produces delayed or Doppler shifted responses to mimic moving objects. Developers can easily program these intelligent responses using Python, MATLAB, C, or LabVIEW, allowing rapid integration into automated testing systems.
