Hioki PW3335 Meter for Accurate Power Measurement

The Hioki PW3335 Meter is engineered for precise measurement of AC and DC power in single-phase systems, from μA-level standby power to large power loads. It is ideal for transformers, motors, power supplies, and AC adapters, especially in applications where low power measurement accuracy is critical. Its advanced design minimizes power factor effects and accommodates high crest factors, making it suitable for both development and energy efficiency testing.

Superior Accuracy for Low and High Power

The PW3335 supports current measurements from 1 mA to 20 A, with a maximum continuous input of 30 A. It can accurately measure extremely low power levels, starting from 10 μA and 0 W, making it fully compliant with IEC62301 standards for standby power testing. The meter’s precision is unaffected by low power factors, allowing high-accuracy no-load testing of transformers and motors with ±0.1% full-scale accuracy.

Crest Factor and Multi-Unit Support

Many AC adapters and switching power supplies operate with high crest factor waveforms under no-load conditions. The PW3335 supports a crest factor up to 6 (CF6), ensuring accurate readings where traditional meters fail. Up to eight PW3335 meters can be synchronized for simultaneous measurements, and models PW3335-03 and PW3335-04 include external sensor terminals for high-current applications up to 5000 A.

Flexible Connectivity and Data Logging

Depending on the model, the PW3335 provides built-in LAN, RS-232C, GP-IB, and D/A output interfaces. Measured values can be transmitted to Hioki data loggers using a Bluetooth®-compatible adapter, enabling seamless integration into automated testing and energy monitoring systems.
