Description
CT-200 Current Transducer with 0-FLUCS Fluxgate Technology
The CT-200 Current Transducer is designed to deliver highly accurate monitoring of both DC and AC currents in demanding electrical environments. Using advanced 0-FLUCS closed loop fluxgate sensing technology, this device offers exceptional measurement stability, extremely low noise levels, and reliable long term performance.
The closed loop architecture continuously compensates magnetic flux within the sensor core, ensuring that the CT-200 Current Transducer maintains excellent linearity across the entire measurement range. This design significantly reduces measurement drift and guarantees consistent performance even in applications where temperature variations or electrical disturbances are present.
The transducer supports a maximum bipolar primary current of ±200 A and features a transformation ratio of 1:1000. This ratio enables the device to convert high primary currents into precise secondary signals that can be accurately processed by monitoring systems and power electronics controllers.
Another important feature of the CT-200 Current Transducer is galvanic isolation between the primary and secondary circuits. This isolation allows engineers to measure current in circuits operating at different electrical potentials while protecting measurement equipment and improving signal reliability.
Flexible Output Options
The CT-200 Current Transducer is available in two output configurations to accommodate different measurement requirements and system architectures. The current output version provides a stable secondary current signal that is suitable for high precision control systems and advanced monitoring equipment.
The voltage output version includes an integrated low temperature coefficient shunt resistor and a low noise amplifier. This internal circuitry converts the measured current into a buffered voltage signal that can easily interface with data acquisition systems, digital monitoring platforms, and laboratory instrumentation.
Both versions of the CT-200 Current Transducer include a built in LED indicator that confirms correct device operation. This simple but useful feature helps technicians verify system functionality during installation, testing, and maintenance.
Current Transducer for EV Testing and Power Electronics
The CT-200 Current Transducer is widely used in applications where precise current measurement directly impacts system performance and reliability. Typical applications include electric vehicle battery testing and characterization, current calibration systems, industrial test stands, and precise AC mains monitoring environments.
The transducer is also an excellent choice for extremely stable regulated power supplies and power inverter systems. Accurate current feedback is critical in these systems to maintain performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
Compared with traditional Hall effect current sensors, the CT-200 Current Transducer provides significantly better accuracy, improved linearity, and lower noise performance. These advantages make it a preferred choice for engineers working in advanced industrial, automotive, and power generation environments.
For optimal performance, the CT-200 Current Transducer can be powered using the PS1215 low noise AC DC power supply. This dedicated power supply ensures stable operation and preserves the high precision characteristics of the transducer.
The device can also be integrated into the CT-BOX-200 system, a complete solution designed for monitoring bipolar currents up to 200 A. This integrated approach simplifies system implementation and enables engineers to deploy a reliable current measurement platform with minimal configuration effort.
