PCRC-7272 Current Regulator

The PCRC-7272 Current Regulator Controller is engineered to significantly improve the constant current performance of existing commercial power supply systems. Designed as a non-integrated controller, it works alongside external power supplies to deliver superior stability, precision, and operational control without requiring a complete system replacement.

At the core of its operation, the PCRC-7272 uses a Direct Current Current Transformer (DCCT) to provide real time feedback of output current. This feedback is processed through the controller, which generates an error correction voltage. This correction signal is then sent back to the power supply to continuously refine and stabilize the output current. This closed loop architecture ensures highly accurate regulation even under variable load conditions.

The system is housed in a slim 1U rackmount chassis, making it ideal for dense laboratory racks and industrial control environments where space efficiency is critical. Ethernet connectivity enables full remote operation, including power supply switching, current set point adjustments, ramp rate configuration, and diagnostic monitoring.
