Description
MCOR Bipolar Power Supply
The MCOR Bipolar Power Supply Module system is a highly flexible and precision engineered solution designed for magnet correction and advanced current control applications. Operating as a true 4 quadrant power supply, the MCOR system delivers both positive and negative current outputs, making it ideal for demanding environments where fine magnetic field adjustments are critical.
At the core of its design is a modular architecture that allows up to 16 MCOR modules to be installed within a single 6U rackmount crate. This scalable configuration enables users to build customized power systems based on application requirements, ranging from low current precision control to higher current magnet correction tasks. Multiple MCOR models can be mixed and matched within the same crate, offering unmatched flexibility.
A single bulk DC power supply provides power to the entire crate, simplifying infrastructure requirements while maintaining high efficiency. The EMCOR digital controller module acts as the central intelligence of the system, managing all installed MCOR modules simultaneously. It provides real time control, monitoring, and diagnostics, ensuring stable and accurate operation across all channels.
The EMCOR controller supports both Ethernet and USB communication interfaces, allowing seamless integration into modern control systems. It replaces older interface modules and significantly improves usability, system diagnostics, and remote operability.
Each MCOR module is designed for reliability and precision, with built in monitoring of output current, ripple levels, and fault conditions. Fault detection and reporting capabilities ensure safe operation in sensitive research environments. In the event of a module failure, individual units can be replaced without interrupting the entire system, minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.
The MCOR system has been widely adopted in leading physics laboratories and research facilities worldwide, where stable and precise magnet control is essential for accelerator systems, beamline tuning, and experimental physics applications.
