Description
CT Viewer™ 2 Software Overview
The CT Viewer™ 2 Software is a comprehensive Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) waveform analysis tool designed for use with MOHR CT100 Series TDRs and compatible with data from other TDR instruments. Built for Microsoft® Windows®, this software enhances how engineers and technicians archive, compare, and analyze TDR data. It is included with every CT100 Series TDR and is engineered to simplify both field and laboratory workflows.
Powerful Archiving and Data Management
With CT Viewer™ 2, users can quickly upload TDR waveforms from CT100 instruments via Ethernet, USB, or thumb drive, and store them locally, on network drives, or in a Microsoft SQL Server database. This archiving ability provides a permanent, accessible record of cable performance for future comparison, making it invaluable for R&D, QA/QC, and maintenance teams.
Advanced TDR Analysis Capabilities
The software reproduces the full functionality of CT100 Series TDRs and adds its own advanced features. Users can dynamically scale waveforms, apply mathematical transforms such as subtraction and derivatives, and accurately remeasure distance-to-fault, impedance, or reflection coefficients. The ability to fine-tune velocity of propagation (VoP) with six-digit precision ensures unmatched accuracy in test results.
Remote Collaboration and Live Streaming
One of CT Viewer™ 2’s most powerful features is its ability to enable real-time remote access. Engineers can stream live TDR waveforms and even remotely control CT100 Series instruments over LAN, WAN, or the Internet, making expert oversight possible from anywhere in the world. This allows organizations to separate data acquisition from data analysis, streamlining workflows and improving efficiency.
Enhancing Cable Testing and Quality Control
CT Viewer™ 2 is widely used for cable quality assurance and fault detection. It can detect subtle impedance variations, verify electrical length, and identify open or short faults with unmatched clarity. These capabilities make it essential for industries like aerospace, defense, telecommunications, and electronics manufacturing, where precision cable performance is mission-critical.
