Expansive Measurement Spectrum

Equipped with three selectable ranges—0.5 A, 5 A, and 30 A—the CT6710 allows a single probe to measure small energy currents as well as high-current transients. The range can be easily toggled using the RANGE key on the termination box, ensuring accurate readings without changing equipment.

High Bandwidth and Signal Quality

The DC to 50 MHz (-3 dB) bandwidth enables high-speed current waveform capture, including inrush currents. With a 10 V/A output rate, the probe improves oscilloscope sensitivity tenfold, enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio and providing crisp, accurate waveform observation without relying on filters or averaging functions.

Safety and Protection

The CT6710 features a built-in warning indicator to alert users when input exceeds the rated value, preventing damage due to overheating. Users are protected even if the wrong range is selected for a higher current input, making this probe safe for laboratory and field use.
