Model 3222 Signal Amplifier for High Voltage PXI Applications

The Model 3222 Signal Amplifier is engineered to overcome one of the most common challenges in PXI systems, limited output voltage. Many PXI waveform generators operate from 12V supply rails, which restricts their ability to deliver signals above 10Vp p into 50Ω loads. The Model 3222 Signal Amplifier eliminates this limitation by using advanced DC to DC conversion and a unique internal design that significantly increases available output voltage.

With a wideband frequency range from DC to over 20MHz, the Model 3222 Signal Amplifier ensures excellent signal integrity across low and mid frequency applications. It provides up to 40Vp p into high impedance loads and up to 20Vp p into 50Ω, making it suitable for automotive, aviation, industrial electronics, and laboratory environments where higher voltage signals are required.

Flexible Configuration

The Model 3222 Signal Amplifier comes standard with a fixed gain of x10. However, it can be custom configured to meet specific system requirements without degrading signal purity. Users can define gain, input impedance, output impedance, output polarity, and signal ground configuration at the time of purchase.

The amplifier can be supplied with isolated input and output connectors that allow the unit to float up to 250Vdc from case ground. This floating capability is essential in applications where the amplified signal must remain at the same ground level as its source. A simple internal jumper allows users to enable or disable this floating feature.
