Description

Model 3202 RF Amplifier for 20GHz Dual Channel Applications

The Model 3202 RF Amplifier is engineered to support advanced RF and microwave testing where both high frequency coverage and strong output power are required. With a continuous operating range from 100kHz to 20GHz, this dual channel amplifier provides ultra wide bandwidth performance inside a compact PXIe module.

Delivering up to 30dBm saturated output power into 50Ω loads, the Model 3202 RF Amplifier ensures strong signal drive for demanding devices under test. At the 1dB compression point, it provides a typical output power of +27dBm, offering predictable and stable high power operation.

Performance Enhancement

The Model 3202 RF Amplifier was designed to expand the output capabilities of Tabor arbitrary waveform generators and RF signal generators. Many RF sources do not provide sufficient power to fully test high performance receivers or complex RF systems. By integrating the Model 3202 RF Amplifier, engineers can significantly increase available output power while preserving signal quality.

With two independent channels, users can perform parallel RF testing or configure advanced multi tone experiments. When additional gain is required, both channels can be cascaded to achieve up to 25dB gain. This configuration allows the amplifier to reach maximum saturated power of 30dBm into 50Ω loads without compromising bandwidth or signal integrity.

Protection and PXIe Integration

The Model 3202 RF Amplifier is built for reliable operation in automated test environments. It includes reverse polarity protection as well as over voltage and under voltage protection to safeguard both the amplifier and connected equipment.

Its single slot PXIe form factor enables seamless integration into modular test systems. Although optimized for Tabor signal sources, the Model 3202 RF Amplifier operates effectively as a standalone RF amplifier with virtually any compatible RF generator.

Target applications include receiver testing, multi tone RF characterization, broadband signal validation, and scientific research requiring high frequency and high power amplification. The Model 3202 RF Amplifier provides a compact, cost effective, and versatile solution for engineers who need dependable RF performance up to 20GHz.
