Description

Model 9250 Signal Amplifier for High Voltage and Wide Bandwidth Applications

The Model 9250 Signal Amplifier is engineered to deliver precise amplification for high-voltage and wide bandwidth applications. Whether used as two independent single-ended channels or configured as a single differential amplifier, it provides reliable and accurate performance in laboratory and production environments.

With a small signal bandwidth of up to 30MHz and large signal bandwidth reaching 15MHz, the Model 9250 ensures clean signal reproduction across a broad frequency range. It delivers up to 40Vp-p into high impedance loads and 20Vp-p into matched loads, making it suitable for demanding signal amplification tasks. A fast slew rate of up to 200V per microsecond allows accurate tracking of rapidly changing waveforms without distortion.

Flexible Configuration

Flexibility is at the core of the Model 9250 design. Users can configure:

  • Gain: x10, x15, x20
  • Input impedance: 50Ω, 75Ω, 1MΩ
  • Output impedance: 50Ω, 75Ω, 600Ω
  • Coupling: DC or AC
  • Output mode: Dual separate channels or differential output

In differential mode, channel 1 input is amplified and distributed to both outputs. One output remains in phase while the second provides an inverted signal with a precise 180 degree phase shift. Full amplitude and bandwidth are preserved in this mode, ensuring accurate differential drive without compromising performance.

The differential output impedance can be modified for 50Ω, 75Ω, or 600Ω loads, making it ideal for precision signal delivery in controlled environments.

Practical Design and Integration

Housed in a fully metal 2U half 19 inch rack case, the Model 9250 is stackable with other Tabor instruments and can be mounted in a standard 19 inch rack. Additional rear panel auxiliary inputs allow signal summation and external DC offset control, providing even more versatility for advanced applications.

For engineers working in research labs, electronics testing, or system integration, the Model 9250 Signal Amplifier offers power, accuracy, and configuration flexibility in one compact solution.
