Description

The MX Series DC Power Supply is a versatile, high-performance multiple-output power supply designed for lab and system test applications. It offers 315 W to 420 W total power, and comes in models with three or four fully functional outputs, so you can power multiple voltage rails simultaneously without compromise.

Each output gives full features: constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CI) operation, independent on/off switching, remote sense, and programmable over-voltage (OVP) and over-current (OCP) protection.

One of the defining features is its mixed-mode regulation (switch-mode pre-regulation + linear post-regulation), which delivers high power density while maintaining low noise and stable output—ideal for sensitive test environments.

Key Specifications & Features:

  • 3- or 4-output configurations with up to 420 W total power.
  • Output resolution down to 1 mV and 0.1 mA, enabling fine control for precise applications.
  • Range switching on each output: switch between higher voltage or higher current depending on your load needs.
  • Power-sharing mode: combine outputs internally for higher power from a single channel when required.
  • Compact bench or rack-mount format (3 U height) for lab or system use.
  • Remote control interfaces (USB, RS-232, LAN/LXI, optional GPIB) on “P” models for automation and integration.
  • Full metering with simultaneous display of set and actual values for all outputs, as well as memories (50 memories per output + 50 linked memories) for quick recall.

Comparison Table for MX Series Variants:

Model Outputs Max Total Power Remote Interfaces Included Key Features
MX100T 3 outputs 315 W None 3×35 V/3 A, 1 mV/0.1 mA resolution, shared power mode.
MX100TP 3 outputs 315 W USB / RS-232 / LAN (LXI) Same as MX100T + remote control & rear terminals.
MX180T 3 outputs 378 W None 2×180 W + 18 W outputs, up to 120 V/20 A range.
MX100Q (S2) 4 outputs 420 W None Quad outputs, high flexibility, power sharing up to 210 W single channel.
MX100QP (S2) 4 outputs 420 W USB / RS-232 / LAN & optional GPIB Same as MX100Q plus automation interfaces.

*Notes: “Shared power mode” means you can disable two outputs and get higher power from a single output. Series 2 (S2) models include colour LCD, “TripLink” multi-channel trip linking, and enhanced power sharing.

Who benefits from this DC Power Supply?

Whether you’re developing power electronics, testing embedded systems, or need a flexible bench supply for multi-rail testing, the MX Series is designed to meet demanding applications. Engineers working on mixed-voltage devices, sequential rail startup, or automated test systems will appreciate the flexibility, precision, and control this supply offers.

In summary, the MX Series DC Power Supply gives you three or four independent high-performance outputs, razor-sharp setting resolution, remote control capability, and a compact footprint. If you need a smart, flexible tool for powering multiple rails with precision, this is a top-choice solution.
