The RM3546 Resistance Meter is purpose-built for low-resistance measurement applications where accuracy, speed, and reliability are critical. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern battery manufacturing, it enables precise evaluation of welding quality in EV and energy storage system production lines.

Welded joints in battery packs typically exhibit resistance values between 10 µΩ and 100 µΩ. The RM3546 delivers exceptional sensitivity with a resolution of 1 nΩ, allowing it to detect even the smallest deviations in weld quality. By measuring resistance values directly through the welded area, manufacturers can clearly distinguish between acceptable and defective welds and apply consistent pass or fail judgments. This numerical evaluation improves traceability and ensures uniform quality control across production lines.

A key advantage of the RM3546 Resistance Meter is its ability to maintain accuracy in environments with rapid temperature changes. Immediately after welding, resistance values can fluctuate due to heat. The Advanced Temperature Compensation function simultaneously measures temperature and resistance, then corrects readings in real time to a reference temperature. This allows accurate inspections without waiting for components to cool, significantly reducing takt time.

Measurement stability is further enhanced by the Advanced Offset Voltage Compensation function. This technology suppresses thermoelectric effects and internal offset voltages, ensuring consistent and repeatable results even in high-noise environments.

To protect both equipment and production uptime, the RM3546 incorporates Active Circuit Protection. When an over-input condition is detected, the protection circuit activates instantly, preventing damage caused by miswiring or accidental contact with energized terminals.

System integration is simplified through a generous maximum allowable path resistance of 9 ohms. This flexibility allows longer cables, relay usage, and varied probe configurations without compromising accuracy. With support for up to 132 channels through optional multiplexer and switch units, the RM3546 is ideal for scalable, high-density measurement systems.
