Description

Model 9260 Signal Amplifier for High Current and Differential Applications

The Model 9260 Signal Amplifier is engineered for engineers and researchers who need reliable high bandwidth and high current signal amplification. With a wide bandwidth of 45MHz and a fast transition time under 10ns, this amplifier ensures accurate waveform reproduction even in fast pulse and high frequency applications.

Delivering up to 34Vp-p into 50Ω and supporting peak output currents up to 1A, the Model 9260 Signal Amplifier provides continuous power output of up to 10W. This makes it suitable for demanding loads such as piezo devices, transducers, MEMS components, and advanced research systems.

Dual Channel and Differential Flexibility

One of the strongest advantages of the Model 9260 Signal Amplifier is its flexible configuration. It can operate as two independent single ended channels or as one input with two differential outputs. In differential mode, the amplifier delivers balanced signals for improved noise performance and precise control.

The standard configuration provides x10 gain with 34Vp-p maximum output into 50Ω. Custom gain options such as x15 or x20 can be selected at the time of purchase. Input impedance can be configured to 50Ω, 75Ω, or 1MΩ to match different signal sources.

Each channel includes:

  • Main input on the front panel for primary signal input
  • Auxiliary input on the rear panel for signal summation
  • DC offset input on the rear panel for output level adjustment

These additional inputs allow signal summing and external DC offset control, increasing flexibility for advanced testing setups.

Performance and Integration

The Model 9260 Signal Amplifier is housed in a fully metal 2U half 19 inch rack enclosure. It can be stacked with compatible instruments or mounted in a standard 19 inch rack using optional mounting kits. This compact yet powerful design makes it ideal for laboratory benches and integrated rack systems.

Target applications include piezo electronics, transducer characterization, MEMS research, general electronics development, and scientific testing environments that require high voltage and high current amplification with excellent signal integrity.
