Description

Precision and Power with the 7800 Series Linear Amplifiers

The 7800 Series Linear Amplifiers are engineered for high-performance applications where power, precision, and flexibility are essential. Designed for both AC and DC operations, these amplifiers offer exceptional four-quadrant performance—capable of sourcing and sinking power—making them an excellent choice for laboratory testing, EMC, military, and industrial simulation environments.

High Output Performance for Demanding Loads

The series includes three cabinet configurations—7810, 7815, and 7820—delivering 10 kW, 15 kW, and 20 kW continuous power respectively. These amplifiers maintain stability across a wide range of resistive, capacitive, or inductive loads with a maximum output of ±500 Vp and up to 800 A peak current. With a DC to 60 kHz bandwidth and fast slew rate of 40 V/µs, they respond accurately to fast-changing input signals.

Advanced Control and Built-in Protection

Users can switch between controlled-voltage and controlled-current modes depending on testing requirements. The internal circuitry ensures reliability with protections against input overload, thermal excess, short circuits, and improper connections. Real-time fault detection and LED/LCD feedback ensure safe, smooth operations.

Clear Interface and Monitoring

Each model includes a front-panel LED and configurable LCD display for real-time output monitoring including Vp, VRMS, Ap, and ARMS. The intuitive controls and soft-touch switches (Run, Stop, Reset) allow easy user interaction. Rear-panel BNC inputs and high-current connectors support seamless integration into test setups.

Built for Reliability and Longevity

The robust steel chassis houses six high-capacity fans that ensure optimal cooling during intense use. Operating temperatures range from 10°C to 50°C, with automatic power de-rating above 30°C. Low residual noise (<250 µV) and minimal offset further improve signal fidelity and measurement precision.

Whether for R&D labs, automotive EMC testing, or military simulation, the 7800 Series Linear Amplifiers deliver unmatched performance, reliability, and control.
