Description
SW2001 High Voltage Multiplexer for Safe and Efficient Testing
The SW2001 High Voltage Multiplexer is engineered for comprehensive motor testing environments where accuracy, safety, and productivity are critical. Designed to connect multiple testers into a single system, it enables seamless switching across six essential tests without manual rewiring. This makes it an ideal choice for both serial and parallel motor test lines in R&D and high volume manufacturing.
Six Test Consolidation
With support for winding resistance, inductance, insulation resistance, hipot, surge, and partial discharge testing, the SW2001 significantly simplifies test setups. By handling both high voltage and 4 terminal low voltage measurements in one unit, it eliminates frequent reconnections and reduces operator workload. The multiplexer supports testing of up to three three phase motors simultaneously and includes built in thermistor temperature sensor support for enhanced measurement reliability.
Reliability and Durability
At the core of the SW2001 is a highly reliable multiplexing design using durable high voltage reed relays. These relays are capable of safely switching circuits with peak voltages up to 8 kV while minimizing leakage current and measurement interference. Advanced insulation design, optimized relay spacing, and high voltage circuit boards ensure stable performance even in demanding electrical environments.
Equipment Protection
To prevent damage to sensitive low voltage instruments, the SW2001 incorporates a protective discharge function that safely grounds residual energy stored in motor windings before switching circuits. This feature is especially valuable during insulation resistance and hipot tests, where stored energy can otherwise shorten equipment lifespan or affect measurement accuracy.
Consistent Measurement Accuracy
The multiplexer delivers guaranteed measurement performance across critical parameters, maintaining insulation resistance measurement accuracy within 2 percent and limiting the impact on AC partial discharge measurements to 40 pC or less during high voltage application. With a relay service life of over five million cycles, the SW2001 is built for long term, stable operation in continuous testing environments.
