LSX2091R Single Microwave
The LSX2091R Single Microwave Signal Generator is a high-performance, 20GHz, single-channel source that redefines precision in RF and microwave testing. Part of Tabor Electronics’ Lucid-X family, the LSX2091R combines ultra-low phase noise, ultra-fast frequency switching, and versatile analog modulation in a compact 19″ 1U rack module. It is ideal for challenging applications including radar systems, electronic warfare, secure communications, automated test setups, and advanced RF research.
Signal Integrity
Engineered for maximum spectral purity, the LSX2091R delivers exceptional phase noise of -133 dBc/Hz at 1 GHz (10 kHz offset), harmonics at -50 dBc, and non-harmonics at -90 dBc. Its coherent single-channel operation ensures precise phase alignment for high-performance DAC/ADC clocking, intermodulation distortion measurements, and other critical RF applications.
Fast Frequency Switching
The <10 µs frequency switching capability reduces dead time in automated testing, increasing throughput and lowering testing costs. It is also essential for simulating modern real-world environments such as frequency-hopping radars, electronic warfare threats, and secure communication protocols where pulse-to-pulse frequency changes are critical.
Modulation Capabilities
With built-in AM, FM, PM, Sweep, and Pulse modulation, the LSX2091R is versatile for analog communication system simulations. FM deviations reach up to 10 MHz (rates up to 1 MHz), AM has a linear depth up to 90% (rates up to 100 kHz), and PM achieves a peak deviation of 360°. Pulse modulation delivers fast rise/fall times (<15 ns) and high on/off ratios (~70 dB). Optional features extend modulation, power ranges, and portability.
Control and Programming
The LSX2091R supports SCPI and VISA commands over LAN, USB, or SPI. Integration with Python, MATLAB, C#/C++, and LabVIEW is seamless, and the included virtual front panel provides an intuitive interface for local or networked control.
